Joanne Akbal started supporting her clients after seeing new business owners struggling to reach success in their new businesses in a time frame that worked for them. Jo decided to create a way for Food Entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey to reduce the risk and protect their investment, without feeling the overwhelm that is felt when buying or starting a new food business.
Jo started out in the Hospitality space as a teenager working in a small cafe. This is where her passion for the industry grew. Her career goal became to own and operate her own venues that were fun, unique and served up some beautiful, fresh food that encouraged you to linger.
When Jo reached her goal, she thought she was ready. In many ways she was. She had spent years managing other people's venues and getting to know all aspects of the industry. But boy, the learning curve in that first venue was massive and even with all her experience took years to conquer.
Jo started out with Envision as a Business Broker that specialises in connecting buyers and sellers in the Hospitality Industry. It wasn't long into her career shift that she saw that there was no one protecting the buyers.
People looking to start their very own shift into their dream hospitality venue were left exposed and confused. They were ready and inspired for their new career but when they started searching they often gave up frustrated due to the lack of support. There was no one guiding them through this difficult process.
Fast forward to today Envision Hospitality is now serving 100’s of clients across Australia, committed to educating, supporting and inspiring a wave of New Food Entrepreneurs who are ready to minimise their risk and get comfy in their own business by transitioning smoothly with support. Built on a foundation of passion for the Hospitality Industry and not being ok with new owners struggling to find their feet, Envision’s vision is to inspire and prepare a wave of New Food Entrepreneurs to take action to be ready to transition into their business which will have them save time and money during all steps of the process and reduce the risk.
